Dinner out AND ice cream on the way home! We tried the Meadows on Route 19 in Cranberry (formally the creamery), they do custard, yogurt, and Italian ice.
They always feature chocolate and vanilla custard and two additional flavors of the day. Savings secret: they have "pre dipped" pints of ice cream, which are basically the leftover flavor from previous days. One of these pints costs $3.81, not bad considering a medium cone of a feature flavor is $3.60 and a 1/2 gallon at Giant Eagle is $5!
